Incalculable Unknowns was made by a crew of 30 film students during the 2021 school year. It was written and directed by Annabel Grace White and produced by Sarah Wood Umhau, with cinematography by W. Graham Skinner and production design by Grace Hahs.

Our story explores the relationship of sisters Ivy and Margaret who have been fierce opposites since childhood. Ivy’s quirky, sensitive soul longs for freedom to express itself, but Margaret is protective of Ivy and has a strong vision for her life. Ivy has grown to feel trapped by the loving expectations of her sister.

We hope to show the complex relationship of these sisters as they learn to let go of the expectations they have for each other and the world. Incalculable Unknowns is about finding freedom.
